About Chris Carpenter

Bio

Growing up in central Vermont on her grandparents’ farm, a Stagecoach Inn dating from the late 1700’s, instilled an early appreciation for historic homes in Chris. In 1992, Chris visited Nantucket with friends where she discovered the laid-back seaside way of life, the islands rich history, and a sense of community that she was looking for, and easily claimed Nantucket as her new home. She began working in the service industry at the former India House, an iconic restaurant & inn that was always filled with fascinating people, many of whom became life-long friends. She met her husband Tim on the island, an avid downhill skier and a life-long Steeler’s fan. Chris began working at Jordan Real estate in 2003 as an administrator and became a licensed Sales Associate in 2006. She also carries an active license with Corcoran, West Palm Beach, Florida. As a private chef for many years, along with property management in Palm Beach, Wainscott NY and Nantucket, Chris has demonstrated a high-level of service, discretion, and attention to detail. This experience has proven invaluable while working with her clients, whether they are buying or renting. In building these relationships, Chris continues to grow a strong referral base of clients looking to make Nantucket their perfect getaway or forever home. During leisure time, Chris enjoys walking or biking the many trails throughout Nantucket’s conservation land and our beautiful coastline, as well as early mornings maintaining her ever-changing wildflower gardens along with floral design work. She is a spirited photographer of landscapes, architecture, and classic cars. Chris is also an outspoken animal advocate, increasing awareness and kindness while pursuing anti-cruelty and neglect campaigns across the world. Chris and Tim share their home with their rescued cat Schmoo, who is afraid of his own tail, but brings them joy, a few hairballs and unconditional love.
